General Policies

The Benedict Castle is well suited for special events, anniversaries, award banquets and corporate events. Both romantic and functional the grounds are listed as an historical landmark Riverside. The grounds are beautifully landscaped giving, it the ambiance of the private estate it was originally.

Your day will be filled with joy, wonderful food and most of all our excellent service and attention. Prices for canopies or tents will be quoted for specific function needs.  Our staff will work with you to ensure that the setup will compliment your desires.

Inside, the Castle accommodates up to 180 guests depending on the way the room is set up. The Courtyard can accommodate up to 225 seated guests. Please work with our event staff to determine the best set up for you event.

Below are some of the policies we enforce for events at Benedict Castle. These policies may change at any time without notice. A complete list of Terms and Conditions will be provided to you before we finalize your event details.

End Time

End time for all functions is 9:30 p.m.  No exceptions will be allowed. The end time means client, all guests and vendors must be off premises at end time.  You must allow time for removal or tear down for all items brought on premise.  Time overages will be deducted from your damage/deposit fee.


Children must be supervised at all times.  Children may not run through the facility or play unattended inside or in the Courtyard or any other area of the facility. All events with over six children in attendance will require special personnel for monitoring and you will be charged with a deduction from your refundable deposit.

Smoking and Alcohol

The Benedict Castle is a non-smoking and non-alcohol facility; smoking and alcohol are not permitted on any part of the grounds at any time.


In order to adhere to the standards of quality and style established by Benedict Castle, we do not allow signs, banners or decorations to be affixed to the walls, doors or ceilings. All decorations must be approved by event services staff. If balloons are used they must be free standing, with weights or tied with ribbons.  Client is responsible for removing all decorations and personal effects prior to end time. 


Parking is free to all guests within designated areas.  Attendants will direct your guests to the lower parking lot.  When lower lot is full guests will be directed to the upper parking lot.  There is space for handicapped parking.

Music and Dancing

No loud or offensive music is permitted.  You may have live or recorded music.  No group dancing is permitted.

Handicapped Access

The Castle grounds are handicapped accessible. There is one handicapped restroom located on the upper level offices.  There is an outside entrance clearly marked with a big blue dot. There are handicap restrooms in the Gift Shop adjacent to the Castle. Handicap parking spaces are available in the upper and lower parking lot with a path for wheelchairs.  Wheelchair access is located thru the Courtyard.
